Motorola trunking between 450 and 520MHz
Hi Guys,
Can anyone remember any Motorola trunking systems that ran between 450-520MHz in Australia? I think I can remember one in Sydney on 500MHz that dated back 15 years ago - around the time that the M7 was built, but can anyone with a better memory than me remember any?
Cheers,
Matt

Re: Motorola trunking between 450 and 520MHz
I gather you are talking about old skool analogue ?
The M7 system was using analogue ATS2500's, I can dig up the codeplug ? I ended up with all the gear when it was closed down and the M7 finished construction. I still use the ex repeater yagi's today
Plenty of P25 mining networks running on high split UHF both in the past and currently active (a stack in WA, QLD)
WA GRN is high split UHF P25 (And is quite an extensive network)
several covert users were on UHF high split but now have shifted and updated...

Re: Motorola trunking between 450 and 520MHz
There was a Qantas Motorola Trunking System on 460Mhz in Brisbane at the Airport until very recently ( a couple of years ago). About 10yrs ago there was a 460Mhz Motorola System in the Rockhampton/Gladstone area for mining and a 460Mhz BHP system at Port Hedland (that has been replaced by TETRA)

Re: Motorola trunking between 450 and 520MHz
There are a couple of trunking systems, P25 clear, in use in the Hunter Valley Mines

Re: Motorola trunking between 450 and 520MHz
Yeah I was thinking the old analog Smartnet systems.
Garry - are the Hunter Valley P25 systems documented anywhere?

Are these the old 488Mhz users? Weren't they on conventional P25, not trunked?news wrote:several covert users were on UHF high split but now have shifted and updated...

I vaguely recall a single M type II system in Melbourne city on either 460MHz or 416MHz belonging to Telstra.
