Copy thanks for that update!
Re: [QLD] Government Wireless Network (GWN)
There are a number of scanner users waiting for post g20 to see if the encryption was a rented license for the event for ambo/qrfs or if QLD becomes encrypted full time across all of the services.Wonky wrote: Probably the only audio I will ever hear on the GWN (unless they run some cross patching during transition)!

Re: [QLD] Government Wireless Network (GWN)
I know it's way too early to be drawing comparisons but it is starting to look like the RIDs might be following the convention we've observed for the NSWGRN (here)?
As far as Ø is concerned, whether encryption is used or not comes down to the user radio (yes I know there are some other considerations but generally speaking), if the user selects "clear" (providing the talkgroup isn't strapped secure in the codeplug) or experiences a "keyfail" then you will hear their speech, so it will be up to each individual agency whether they will be monitorable or not.

noticed also that the PSR800 doesnt seem to be stepping correctly in this part of the band, ill have to take a closer look at the config, but this might cause some problems down the track, ie, Site 203 will stop on 420.04000 instead of 420.03750. There was no traffic on these site so I couldnt test if it followed it regardless.

Re: [QLD] Government Wireless Network (GWN)
Is there a type-o with site 204 and 202 having same NAC?

Re: [QLD] Government Wireless Network (GWN)
I dont think so, i double checked these yesterday while I was there, but Unitrunker could be giving me dodgy details, the only radio I had on me doesnt display NAC when it lands on a control channel. (lesson learned, remember to pack more then one radio)techman wrote:Is there a type-o with site 204 and 202 having same NAC?

What channel numbers is UniTrunker showing for those frequencies.

Re: [QLD] Government Wireless Network (GWN)
I can get viability of 2 out of 4 sites in Cairns - antenna issues but hoping to have this fixed soon
Looks like there is still some configuration work occurring, site 2-001 has lost a control channel and supporting P1 where 2-003 has 2 and supports P2.
