Anyone out there....?
Anyone out there....?
Seems the HAM bands have been a little quiet lately.. Ive been quite active on 70cm - anyone else interested in a chinwag sometime?
Cheers,
Matt

Re: Anyone out there....?
Hi Matt,
What rpt are you using in Sydney on 70cm? I notice there are a few new ones now up and operating. Unfortunately, some of them TX far better than they receive (always a tricky balancing act when setting up Rpt's).
Let us know where you’re hanging out. Getting into summer I’m listing on 6M a lot, but when in the shack or the car the ye ole FM900 is normally sitting on 439.825.
Regards
Kev

Re: Anyone out there....?
I've never really worked 6 meters before - funny cause ive got a FT890 sitting on my bench! Might have to fire it up sometime this summer - what is a good 6 meter DX antenna?
At the moment i'm always on 438.2000 - in P25 - and I also have a radio on my local machine, VK2RHC - 438.5500 (91.5Hz) in ye olde analog FM.
Which repeater is 439.8250? Is that Berowra?

looks like I have "that" frequency now
9825 is actually Kurrajong, but is linked to Berowra 8275 [-5.4 offset] and Berowra 2m - 147.175 [+ 0.6 offset]

Yes!
A rather talented individual helped arrange that one

Is that a P25 amateur repeater Matt?citabria wrote:At the moment i'm always on 438.2000 - in P25
Just checked the emission designator (6K00W7W) - going to have to pull the chart out to work that one out!
Re: Anyone out there....?
Correct - it is.
Deviation in reality is 2.5k
edit - since discovered this is not the case - P25 deviation is ALWAYS -/+1.8kHz regardless of channel settings..

Great work - is that the first one established in Aus?
