Yea well personally I'm quite happy with free software.

Maybe thats something to put advertising revenue + donations towards. Haven't received either yet, although I did implement both today.

So maybe sometime in the future.

Yea thats basically what I did on my Samsung Galaxy Gio with the "A Online Radio" app from the Android market. Even displays the ID3 tags.

My 396T may be a portable scanner... but having a fixed antenna at a location known to receive these channels well, and using my android phone to listen, has coverage improvements. For example if I walk through the subway at Katoomba Train Station the android phone will keep on streaming, but if I had the actual scanner it would receive with heavy distortions at best.

Yeah im liking it more and more mate. i can do updates on the scanner while its still streaming live as it mutes the audio while its doing it but maintains the connection. also notice its a lot faster on uploading and downloading to the scanner than ARC780.
only downside is its 50 buck for the licence, although ARC is 35 anyway and proscan does more.
cheers

I just tried ProScan and RadioFeed and I'm not overly impressed.

Comparing with RadioFeed, I achieve the same functionality with ID Tracker III & edCast. Except RadioFeed won't record.

Comparing with ProScan, I can record the stream but I have to pay for something I'm already doing. I was only mildly interested in ProScan thinking that it had web based controls. Most my radio scanning isn't done with my radio scanner these days, I just load my own stream on my Android phone. So a PC based remote controller isn't much help.
