yeah if you had the RFS list it shows warnings that certain field ops repeater channels cannot be used in certain areas. you've highlighted the one that cant be used in the blue mountains area. virtually all bar F17 and F19 have warnings that cannot be used in certain areas, as there the same as the PMR channels in the area

P251 and P252 should be 110.9Hz. I can confirm this as I'm hearing Hornsby RFS on P251 with a CTCSS of 110.9Hz. Can't confirm P252 as it's not online yet, but I presume it'll be 110.9Hz along with all other repeaters in the district.

I can also confirm P249 is 110.9Hz. I set a radio in the station today to P249 and keyed up a radio, and heard Kurrajong Heights (used on P251) come up. Couldn't transmit back as the input is 456.100 which is stored in P251, not P249.

Also, about the field operations channels, same thing about F18 and Warringah's Terrey Hills tower. Gotta watch out when using those channels!

ok thanks for that SS. makes sense they appear to be a in a vote group.
kinda makes you wonder a bit with the field ops repeater channels, you would have thought that they would have found seperate channels to use. must be a reason for it?

Am I reading 232 and 233 correctly? They appear to have the usual input and output freqs. swapped around :?: If they were in their usual input / output position, then they would be the repeat of 230 and 231 with a different tone, which is something that appears to occur a bit in the listing (re-using freqs with different tones).

yep you are it has been like that for a while. i can confirm that with my rfs list (old now) and also close call from my Tait Orca 5020 (rfs issue, has V4.3 profile on board). only reason i'll guess is to get further range on a channel? ,maybe someone knows for sure.

Its also pretty interesting the RFS use portions of the spectrum allocated to GRN and NSW Ambulance...

Whats this about zones? Nobody would happen to have a list of zones and what channels are in them?

Huh? Look a little harder and you might find that most agencies use GRN spectrum in places, often licenced in the name of Dept of Commerce. We tend to share this spectrum where the GRN isn't in yet, but will eventually get there. There are sub-bands set aside for trunking that are used for PMR till trunking expands. SES, RFS, NSWFB and others all share these channels. These agencies don't have "exclusive" PMR channels of their own- they reuse channels as & where they are available but I know there are RFS channels on the same freq as the NSWFB PMR channels, but with different CTCSS tones.
