Hi all,
Any updates on who are using their PMR allocations on the new P25 system and who is using GRN only?
Thanks

Bega Valley and Eurobodalla are using P25 PMR, I haven't heard them using GRN for a while, still an option of coarse

After a bit of searching around I noticed this license here which seems to be in the Hills / Hawkesbury region and isn't on the original list:-

424.1375MHz

https://web.acma.gov.au/rrl/assignment_ ... ID=1097822

Has there been an update to the profile or list?

It has the same input channel for The Hills, so it would likely be one of those frequencies.

Actually, after your post I checked the other frequencies and it appears the '460 MHz' licences for The Hills are no longer active in the database and have been replaced with '420 MHz' frequencies as of December 2016.

This is likely a change that will effect all the 460 MHz frequencies in the list, which means there was almost certainly an update to their profile at some stage in the last 10 or so months.

Can anybody confirm this is the case from listening to these PMR frequencies?

I’ll go through and update the list to the database soon.

That would be good for confirmation :)

On further review, it looks like some of the areas have switched from their analog to digital frequencies, which would mean be the same profile could be in use, they are just operating in P25 off a different channels in their radio.

October 2017 Update:

The following changes have been made to the list as per the ACMA database. It would appear from the database that many areas only have P25 UHF operating. If this is not correct, and the conventional UHF is sill in action let me know and I shall update the list. Most PMR coverage in the Sydney basin (excluding Hornsby, Hills, HQ) also appears to have been removed.

BAULKHAM HILLS (THE HILLS)
- P25 UHF only listed. VHF also gone.

BLUE MOUNTAINS
- P25 UHF only listed.

CHIFLEY/LITHGOW
- Conventional + P25 UHF listed.

CUMBERLAND
- Nil PMR.

GOSFORD
- P25 UHF only listed.

HAWKESBURY
- P25 UHF only listed.

HORNSBY KU-RING-GAI
- P25 UHF only listed. VHF still listed.

HQ
- Added GRN + P25 UHF.

HUNTER VALLEY
- Conventional + P25 UHF listed.

ILLAWARRA
- P25 UHF only listed.

LOWER HUNTER
- Conventional + P25 UHF listed.

MACARTHUR
- Nil PMR listed (one conventional channel remains).

MID COAST/GLOUCESTER/GREAT LAKES
- Conventional + P25 UHF listed.

SUTHERLAND
- Nil PMR.

THE LAKES
- Conventional + P25 UHF listed.

WARRINGAH PITTWATER
- Nil PMR.

WINGECARIBEE
- P25 UHF only listed.

WOLLONDILLY
- P25 UHF only listed.

Hawkesbury PMR is patched into GOSFRD GRN Talkgroup, some of the regional PMRs are merged into Cumberland/Warringah as per the new CAD network. Some changes still to come and thats to do with council mergers and LGA boundaries etc.
