With more shark sightings happening this summer I was wondering how the aerial patrols communicate with the Surf Life saving crews on the ground to warn them of sharks.
One of the frequencies I have had listed for a while but never heard any activity on is 473.600 for Beach aerial patrol in Wollongong.
In Sydney do they communicate on the Surfcom channels?
Thanks, John.
Beach Aerial patrols
Re: Beach Aerial patrols
I have heard them on Wollongong council life guard freq 488.125mhz... also on marine VHF channels. Also surfcomm Kiama 489.225. Guessing they would call up on surfcomm freqs for the Sydney area too.
