Yep they sure are, i heard they were up in the 420mhz area. i juust looked at the allocations for my area.

Note that these are "split pairs" reflecting the fact the new networks are designed for base or comparator voting. There will no longer be a standard frequency separation between transmit & receive.

Yep saw that, Voting in this area is long overdue i feel. getting too hard guessing what channel to be on for where you are.

Why would they roll out p25 pmr when they have grn there and after testing would appear they are looking to move to it in the areas it covers ?

For the RFS there are vast areas of bush that are outside the usable GRN footprint but within their current PMR footprint that can't just be left without coverage.

Yes Andrew is correct- these are areas like Griffith & Balranald, and up the north coast.... no GRN in those areas.

So by using this input frequency as an example, can someone with the necessary geographic knowlege tell me which of these site groupings would represent a vote channel? - or is this one vote channel??

That is the plan... negotiations with ACMA have commenced & approval to proceed has been received from Telco. That's about all I can say for now on that.
