New Channel - Syd 3 Central Ops
New Channel - Syd 3 Central Ops
Hi guys,
Any ideas what this new channel and TGID is that's caused bulk confusion today? Apparently a new board has opened up called 'channel 3' which I'm guessing is somewhere between the South / East - but haven't picked anything up on the ASNSW allocation.
Have heard crews from Haberfield on both the South and East confused about which channel (2 South Ops, or 4 East Ops) they should be operating on and not receiving voice comms on the new channel.
Cheers
Chris

Re: New Channel - Syd 3 Central Ops
I heard a car discussing the confusion yesterday morning and the operator said both channels are patched together till 10am.

Looks like Talkgroup 30333 using the Sydney South Dispatcher Console id. No patching today.
For want of a better description I am going to call it "Sydney-Channel 3-Inner South" on my unitrunker listing - locations being called include Campsie, Bexley etc
Also Unitrunker is suggesting Talkgroup 30332,30334, 30335 and 30336 have been tested recently as well
Ambulance Stations:
Haberfield, Kogarah, Caringbah

Re: New Channel - Syd 3 Central Ops
Cheers, 5/5 here on 30333. Also picking up the dispatcher only on the Incident 3 channel - 10336 - in a one way conversation with no cars coming through...

I've also noticed some cars don't come up on TG 30333, but the operator hears them.

Re: New Channel - Syd 3 Central Ops
So it seems that cars with updated radios are using the new Ch 3 Central Ops TG30333. Cars that haven’t got the updated radios are on the Incdt channel TG 10336 patched to new Ch 3. And then in the mornings Ambo South TG is patched in as well, so 3 chs txing the same thing.

Interested if there is a reason this new Sydney channel in the 303xx range, when they seem to have plenty of spare capacity in the 103xx range.

Re: New Channel - Syd 3 Central Ops
I heard an operator say cars with radios that have been "fixed" should switch to the new channel 3, the other cars should switch to Incdt 3 CH14.
From what I've seen on GRN talkgroup lists, TG 30330 is the last TG in Zone 3 - so are these new TGs 30332, 30333, 30334 etc in a new radio profile?

I think you mean 10336 (not 10366)

Re: New Channel - Syd 3 Central Ops
Sounds like they've abandoned Ch 3, TG 30333.
Now Central Ops is being run on Incdt 3 CH14, TG 10336 between 10am and 10pm.
