Back to the OP...

The past few weeks I've actually had some hits on 501, 507 and 510

Richard, doesn't that present you with a bit of a problem with Station 428 (Queanbeyan)?

They are currently using the old (Type II) GRN but if there won't be any sites left on the 4.1 network after this weekend, and 428 can't use the P25 TGs yet, how will they have comms?

Andrew
Andrew,

Yes it does! They still have Jerrabomberra (untouched) & 3 sites in ACT that are being kept with some analogue capacity, but they lose the Monaro Highway past about Hume. Myself & Moto are working on a temporary patch solution (that was the primary reason why Wollongong lost some patching a few days back). I'm out bush right now but I'll say more later next week when we hope to have the fix sorted.

Cheers,

Richard

On the incident ground channels... there is also a channel 513 and a P25 equivalent for each of these.

Cheers,

Richard

Ahh... they must be in the new profile, I haven't had a chance to look at that yet?

Thanks again Richard.

Ahh, sydneyfire.net.au list 513.

I didn't realize there were P25 chans tho... same frequencies I imagine, just in P25 mode?

Yea, the P25 Fire Grounds have been there for a while, just we have not been told to use them yet

P25 Channel D513 was used throughout the 2010 Royal Easter Show yet no-one seemed to notice! It was even patched to the GRN for recording purposes. It goes to show how much people actually go looking for new services. A search of the ACMA database for RAS Homebush will show up a licence for this frequency.

Cheers
