Below is a list of FRNSW appliance callsign prefixes that I have put together. If there are others I will add them to the list.

AVI - Aviation
BC - Bulk Carrier
BT - Bulk Tanker
CAP - CAFS Aerial Pump
CFR - Community First Response
CP - CAFS Pumper
CT - CAFS Tanker
DC - Duty Commander
FIRU - Fire Investigation and Research Unit
FLTO - Feet Officer
Flyer - Pumper (001 CoS only)
H - HazMat
HART - HazMat Advisory Response Team
HC - HazMat CAFS
HD - Hazmat Decontamination
HH - Heavy HazMat (no longer official, however still in use)

STP - I don’t have it previously listed, but is that Strike Team Pump?

Copy. I found ‘STP’ in the link below as 'Strike Team Pump', but it was published in 2008 so may now be outdated.

Funny STP is mentioned, I heard what sounded like STP/T Bombala 230 coming down to Bega 219 a week or so ago, From memory it was a grass fire and they had to standby at Bega. I think they got called off before arriving at Bega
I thought I had misheard the callsign and had forgotten about it.

I have heard "CP" used several times. Composite pumper?

CP is for CAFS PUMPER - Compressed Air Foam System.

I’ve got ‘CT’ recorded as well, which I assume is therefore a CAFS Tanker.

Have hear TORA a number of times but not sure what it stands for
