Just going over the logs here, there was a quiet period there, that was the only one showing up every 60 seconds when there was no activity, but every time after the operator had finished that ID had a burst.

Not enough info Matt... if it is every 60 seconds that would be the heart beat pulse but it sounds like the heartbeat is getting back to the Centracom & what you are hearing is the patch being keyed by it. Which talkgroup are you hearing this on?

Cheers

Richard

I can see what he is talking about - on Talkgroup 10104 - it is the far west pmr link rid that he refers to below ... appears at least once every 60 secs 24hrs a day.

Thanks Grant- I've let the guys know... that should not be able to happen but maybe someone has been fiddling up at Newcastle. It is definitely the heart beat pulse...

Hi all, Am watching the Peak Hill site right now and that RID is popping up every 60 seconds or as someone dekeys. It sounds from the crackle it gives as a PMR Bridge. the current TG in use out here is D104 SYD 04 (10104).
cheers
Matt

Hi Matt,

You do understand that the fact you are hearing it at Peak Hill doesn't mean anything? All that says is that there is a radio on that talkgroup affiliated to that site (my guess is that would be the station radio at Peak Hill FS). 207xxxx is a Centracom ID which tells me the source is on another network and a key up every 60 secs is a heartbeat pulse... despite being on hols I've already reported it so thanks! And can we take it to a different topic? The subject has totally derailed the discussion on new developments.

Cheers,

Richard
