Re: [VIC] Metropolitan & Regional Mobile Radio (VICMMR / VIC
Another new VICRMR site was added to the ACMA list today:
Unknown RMR Site # - FRANKSTON (CFA Fire Station 3 Cranbourne Rd) - ACMA Site: 300614
165.9000
166.0500
166.3500
166.5000
Added to the MMR/RMR Map and the Unidentified Sites list here on the forum.
Looks like this may be to further address the coverage issues around the original Mt Eliza site?

They initially had a single freq being patched then had a 'temporary setup ISR' that started showing a few months back.

Re: [VIC] Metropolitan & Regional Mobile Radio (VICMMR / VIC
Just catching up on the MMR updates, as far as I can see there was only one, moving the unknown site to be part of the 001-001 simulcast group:
RFSS 001 Site 001 (Simulcast LSM) - MELBOURNE (Victoria Police Complex, Spencer St) - ACMA Site: 9021309
Updated on the VICMMR/RMR Map and the Zone 1 Sites list here on the forum.
There were also 3 new sites just added to the ACMA database as well but they only have microwave frequencies for now, they look like preparations for the new SECC at Williams Landing, which is still under construction.

The Spencer Street site is also in fact a low power allocation.
The somewhat recent Police Station and Railway Station allocations are all low power (5w).
I've been noting several of what I believe to be new allocations peering off local sites in recent months.
Two alone off the Melbourne ISR at 120 Collins Street (172 and 174), yet not off the Melbourne LSM system made up of 525 Collins, 350 Elizabeth St and 101 Collins Street. Both were using 421.4750.
There is also a 172 using 421.475 peering off Campbellfield. Campbellfield also shows
a 178 peering to it and using 468.4875, which incidentally is only registered to VEMTC at present at 8.3w
172 also peers to Werribee via 421.4750 as does a 220.
A few months ago I found a 147 peering off Ferny Creek / My Dandenong LSM. It had a CC of 421.3500
Located another showing as 171 peering to Kinglake tonight using 421.4750.

Re: [VIC] Metropolitan & Regional Mobile Radio (VICMMR / VIC
So 001-071, 001-072 & 001-074 are on the air, but there are a ton of unidentified sites with 421.4750 (all of them in fact), it'd be impossible to figure out which belong to what without verifying them on-site?Pumper_50 wrote: ~ Two alone off the Melbourne ISR at 120 Collins Street (172 and 174), Both were using 421.4750. ~

I reckon that site 001-078 must be CRAIGIEBURN (VEMTC 284-290 Hume Highway), I'll update that on the list here and on the map now.Pumper_50 wrote: ~ Campbellfield also shows a 178 peering to it and using 468.4875, which incidentally is only registered to VEMTC ~
I would guess then that Werribee Railway Station and Mercy Hospital are probably site 002-020, but I'll wait for confirmation, there may possibly be more sites in that group?Pumper_50 wrote: ~ peers to Werribee as does a 220. ~
I have this listed as...Pumper_50 wrote: ~ I found a 147 peering off Ferny Creek / My Dandenong LSM. It had a CC of 421.3500 ~
RFSS 001 Site 047 - BURWOOD EAST (Motorola Building 10 Wesley Crt) - ACMA Site: 305526
...but that site doesn't have 421.3500 licenced to it, I have the CC listed as 421.3250? The only occurrence of 421.3500 on the entire list is a CC at the simulcast sites of 001-039 MT TOWT & TYNONG, but they're already accounted for.

Re: [VIC] Metropolitan & Regional Mobile Radio (VICMMR / VIC
Interestingly enough the Mt Towt site was impacted by bushfire back on the 2nd March, 2019. No idea as to what extent though...but that site doesn't have 421.3500 licenced to it, I have the CC listed as 421.3250? Re: [VIC] Metropolitan & Regional Mobile Radio (VICMMR / VIC
Andrew a check again tonight when I had time does show 421.3250 not .3500.
Apologies for confusion
When I have a chance I might take a drive and try and ID some of the mystery 421.4750MHz allocations.

Re: [VIC] Metropolitan & Regional Mobile Radio (VICMMR / VIC
That would be great, thanks!
I've been working on the VICMMR Google Map too. Firstly I've added the Victorian LGA Boundaries to a new layer, which is turned off by default same as the NSW Map, although it was a lot less work than NSW.
I hadn't intended to do this just yet, but I wanted to add an "Infrastructure" layer (more on this in a minute), which would've been layer #9. Trouble is goggle only allows 10 layers per map and I require 2 layers to add the LGA Boundaries (1 temporary layer to import maps into, and another permanent layer to move them to, as I can only import 1 LGA map at a time).
So with that finished, the 10th layer can now be called "VICMMR & RMR Infrastructure" and I've slowly been adding the 19 "Microwave Relay Sites" (that don't have any wide area frequencies licenced), plus the 2 SECC sites (not including Ballarat which is already listed as site 002-026), and a seemingly endless number of "Microwave Links" between sites.
It's gonna take me a while to add them all but I hope to get that done this weekend, then I can get back to the WA map, then I can get back to the NSW update, then I suppose the other states will require some attention too... it's a never ending story!

Re: [VIC] Metropolitan & Regional Mobile Radio (VICMMR / VIC
A new VICRMR site was added to the ACMA either yesterday or today (there's no "Date Authorised" for some reason, but it wasn't there on Friday):
Unknown RMR Site # - WERRIBEE (Werribee Racing Club Racecourse Rd) - ACMA Site: 101228
165.4625
165.7625
166.0625
166.5125 (guessing this will be the CC)
Emission Designator: 10K1F9W
Antenna: Dipole (1x 4 dipole array, 136-174 MHz), BE40-41, RF Industries
Antenna Height (AGL): 47 m
Antenna Polarisation: Linear Vertical
Transmitter Power: 50 W pY
Added to the VICMMR/RMR map and to the Unidentified Sites list here on the forum.
