Another update to the SAGRN map thanks to Grant.

Note that when looking at the map, I'm pretty sure the first GRN site number for Mount Gambier is wrong, it was given as
"Mount Gambier - Site ID 170 - Channel - 416.8875"
but I'd think it should definitely be in Zone 002 with the other nearby sites? It could be 002-170 but that seems too high?

RFSS 001 Site 070 - MOUNT GAMBIER (Radio Site Potters Point Hay Drive) - ACMA Site: 23886

RFSS 002 Site 065 - PARINGA (cnr Causeway & Murtho Rds) - ACMA Site: 500742
RFSS 002 Site 099 - MURTHO (SAPD site 28 km NE of Paringa) - ACMA Site: 24118
RFSS 002 Site 106 - NANGWARRY (SAGRN site Armstrong Swamp Road) - ACMA Site: 501965
RFSS 002 Site 135 - DARTMOOR VIC (SAGRN site) - ACMA Site: 501967

There were several other sites supposedly identified but their numbering system is indecipherable and would be duplicates if as given, I'm awaiting confirmation.

Upon further reflection, I think I'll make Mount Gambier GRN site 002-170 after all, to be confirmed of course. It just has to be in Zone 002 given the sites around it.

I've also taken an educated guess at:

RFSS 002 Site 105 - MT BURR (Major Radio Site 11 km E of Millicent) which was given as "Mount Burr - Site ID 105 - Channel - 420.5125"
amd
RFSS 002 Site 117 - MONASH (Berri-Austar Site off Browns Road) which was given as "Monash 416.75 (03DCh-0117)"

That just leaves one site described as "Loxton 414.5 (Site ID showing as 03DCh-01)" and I can't even guess what that might be? It should be in Zone 002 looking at the map, but what site number? 002-001 maybe? The sites around it are numbered up around 002-100 though?

I wish they'd adopt a better numbering convention.

The other thing is, the SYSID on these is given as "3DC" while previously I had "3D3", I wonder if each zone actually has a different SYSID or did I have it wrong originally? Or did someone mistake a site's NAC for the SYSID?

Recent message (30/4/18) on SA CFS pagers
" FYI: ALL GRN RADIOS MUST BE CHANGED OVER TO DIGITAL BETWEEN 9th-11th MAY 1700HRS. THIS IS CRITICAL, NO COVERAGE AFTER MAY 11th ON ANALOGUE"

SA-Scan added on the facebook page
"All analog Smartzone functionality will cease by 1700 on Friday the 11th of May. Every radio on the network needs to be transitioned to P25 by that time. "

Very interesting, thanks!

You would have to assume that all sites have been upgraded to P25 by now then? I wonder if any of the old equipment will be re-purposed after the switch off, or whether the entire network infrastructure was replaced from scratch?

Has anyone seen a screencap of the P25 bandplans? I'd be very surprised if there aren't Phase 2 LCNs included, going by the QLD system that means three LCNs for every frequency (one for Phase 1 usage, and one for each time slot on Phase 2).
