Re: Wagga + P25
Just for everyone's info. CH 55 469.200MHz from Brown Mountain is now digital.
I first noticed the change this morning, it could have gone over within the last few days.

Hi all, Mark that has gone since Monday. I went thru that area on Monday and it was still Analog. Ive heard the techs in different areas a fair bit in the last couple of weeks.

I'll be in Wagga from next Wednesday for work, so i can check whether the cops have gone digital
as if they have the newsroom wont be happy since they only have an analogue scanner

Pretty much all of channel whiskey (including Wagga) has been fully digital for what must be almost twelve months, there were one or two sites around Goulburn that were still awaiting upgrade though, Longreach may have more up-to-date info on them?

If its anything like the local paper here they use online streams when they are out and about, not sure about in the office though.centralcoastscanman wrote:I'll be in Wagga from next Wednesday for work, so i can check whether the cops have gone digital

I only found out about it after the fire down this way on the 18th of Jan. In their reports and stories in the local paper they had the journalists story about the day. She mentioned traveling to the fire and it was so hot her phone stopped working so she couldn't hear the fire brigade radio comms.
I was the only one streaming RFS audio for this area so it must have been my stream.
Thanks for the info Matt, wonder when the far south coast will go over.

Speak of the devil... I just heard a highway car ask VKG for the channel for Crookwell and the reply was "Zone 3 Channel 6"Longreach wrote:Hi all, The Crookwell sector is still analog VHF at this stage although now the new RFS P25 system is in an working in my area i'd imagine it wouldnt be too far away. The radio techs have been doing checks around Nowra today and I think Shoalhaven 18 sounded digital when he called off at Bomaderry earlier.
I can't confirm it yet but it seems the Nowra area has gone over or going over.
