If they can't hear themselves properly on analog, good luck with p25 especially those highway patrol. Be interesting

I thought I heard P25 comming from around the Wagga area the other day when the channels were patched. Wonder if they were testing or something then.

Testing is being done currently on Channel W with digital channels coming out of Wagga. Using Zone 3, missed the channel though

Not Zone 2 ?
Zone 2 was or use to be the Digital Zone in Sydney
Zone 3 was something to do with Digital Special Ops channels

Nope, definitely "zone 3 channel 61", I assume it may be a vote group as different locations are being told to go over to the same channel? Actually sounds like more than just testing to me, maybe something a little more permanent?

Also, cars have been going to see the VKG radio techs before switching so I'm guessing they're having a new profile zapped in with the appropriate new channels?

Hi all, we might have been thrown a curve ball regarding frequencies. appears from a mate on the Hume that the old stuff was reused but went digital. have to see how it goes.
also just listening to the RR stream in the wagga area is has a big burst of digital on Z1ch55, now i guess its Z2ch55.
cheers
Matt

Ealier today Cooma 206 and 207 were transmitting in digital. Radio 27 and 26 were doing radio checks, Beridale 25 is also now digital so I would say the Cooma area is now fully digital. The repeater on Brown Mountain (CH55) is still analogue
