Highway Patrol Car callsign

Post by cartman » Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:24 pm

I was passed on the F3 by a HWP car with the callsign "CEH 212"
Got no idea where it is based.
Can anybody help?

Central Hunter 212
from what i read Central Hunter was formed from the on the split up of Lower Hunter LAC and is based at Maitland. the other half of the LH LAC become Port Stephens LAC.

Yeah, ive seen that floating around Sydney a bit in the last week or 2.

Just on another note, Just south of Campbelltown, towards Douglass Park on the Hume Hwy is a new Aerial Enforcement Zone, both directions. Signs were erected over the course of the weekend, the 500m white markings on the road are in place as well. Not sure what you can pickup on a scanner with India being digital. Unless you listen to Airport Frequencies i suppose. Not sure if they have a private un-encrypted channel from Plane->Hwy Car, from what i hear on Goulburn radio its just over the normal operating channel.

yep calls up as polair 6 when it heads down. usually calls up round bowral and is only on station for 60 minutes anyway.
down my way it would either call up on 121.1 or 125.0 but i never usually worry as i hear it on channel W anyway.

well it will last as long as the last time they tried this, was costing them too much so the stopped doing it.

How about this stupid government spend more money on more Police on theroadinstead of spid planes and speed cameras!

I bet if you saw a highway car every 20km or so u wouldnt speed
