Hi all,
With the NSWPF VHF Low Band, which of the zones are currently in use?
Why would they use the VHF Radios over the UHF Radios? Who has the capability to use these channels within the force?
All of the below radio zones have allocated VHF Channels
Z Bravo
Z India
Z Juliet
Z Mike
Z November
Z Oscar
Z Papa
Z Quebec (Aware of this one)
Z Romeo
Z Sierra
Z Uniform
Z Victor
Z Whiskey
Z Yankee
Z Zulu (Aware of this one)
Any info would be great

Re: VKG VHF Low
That info must be old the only channel's with VHF are, Q,Y and Z, the Tamworth vkg channels, the rest of the state is uhf encrypted. But Vhf is to be phased out by end of 2019 with uhf then encrypted. It works fairly well up here in the northern tablelands especially in the remote areas, but call quality is rubbish as is portable reception, its near on bloody dangerous. Thats just my personal experience. All western region vehicles have vhf as do all Hwp vehicles, and any vehicles from northern and southern region that border an area with vhf are equipped.
