Another callsign

Post by brianWE » Wed Dec 31, 2008 7:12 pm

Heard some action at Ballina, today.
Supervisor requested a couple of GD cars to meet him and "State Crime 124" at a service station to prepare for an arrest at a nearby motel.

Sounded like a big deal. Major criminal? Seems to have gone without a hitch.
Will listen to the news in the morning.
Anyway...."State Crime"...what's that?
I think the "124" is right.

State Crime Command
Sounds right
There are nine or ten sections under the Commander State Crime
I have seen the Commanders position advertised in the nsw govt job section
When I find the stuff I printed off / copied I will fill you in with who makes up State Crime

Unfortunately they tended to always use encryption even when the GD's in Sydney were in digital clear ... rarely heard on the working channels except maybe for a rego check
Now we hear nothing whatsoever

As a coincidence I heard State Crime 100 at Bombala on Saturday, Monaro 100 was also there. It would have been in relation to a missing person from Bombala.
Its the first time I have ever heard them.

There is often a great deal about the inner workings of the police in the Government Job ads, especially when they advertise the more senior positions. Background information about the Unit/Group is often part of the documents available for prospective applicants.
