Another One..

Post by brianWE » Wed Nov 26, 2008 11:34 am

Just heard a Lismore car asking that the "Jert"(?) vehicle be advised they would be late for a meeting at Nimbin.
VKG put out the call to "the Jert vehicle on air"....not to a callsign.
So..what's a "Jert" vehicle.
Yeah. Could be "JURT" or something similar.

Its JIRT

Joint
Investigation
Response
Team

Could be anyone from AFP, DEA, PIC, Crime Comm, ICAC, NSW Health, Customs etc

Usually a NSW police officer with a partner from the other agency.

Ok, I have a suggestion for admin here, with the help of those members who can receive the police in their areas. Maybe the site needs a police terminology section. Seems much of the terminology has changed since digital encryption was implemented. Much of it may remain similar but there is definitely some new stuff out there.

What do you think? Do those who can hear the police thing this is a good idea?

Seems like a good idea. Anyone in favour?
Be as simple as collecting it all together and making a sticky!

Sounds OK.
Only thing is, it would cut down on the interaction between members...one of the reasons I visit forums.

Either way, I have no problems.

Actually it would not do that. It would require members to collate a list right here first, then once there is a fairly complete list, it can then be put on on the main information section for anyone to access.
Thats what I would think is the best way to do it. Makes constructing such a list something for the members to to do develop the site.

JIRT is a group within nsw police that investigate crimes against children, eg the sickos in this world that like to molest children in person.
Its made up of officers with specialist training, and is also partnered up with DOCS

They would liase with other law enforement if the POI went interstate or overseas but otherwise they use local resources.

Very good people, that do a very hard job and deserve to be paid far more than they are being paid.
