NSWPF Aviation Service Branch Open Day (Bankstown Airport)
from the NSWPF Polair Facebook page, for those who are interested.
Bring the family to visit us at POLAIR!
The NSW Police Force is celebrating 150 years of proud policing traditions in 2012. On 1 March 2012, the anniversary was formally launched to the public and throughout the 150th anniversary there will be an array of other activities planned to commemorate this significant event - including a POLAIR Open Day.
On Saturday the 24 November 2012, POLAIR will open its doors to the public for the first time. Access will be granted to one of our operational hangars where tours will be conducted of our location, several of our aircraft and a number of other NSW Police Force resources that will be in attendance on the day. Come and see how much has changed from the original POLAIR 1, Australia's first police helicopter, to the current POLAIR 1.
Entry to the POLAIR Open Day is free and will consist of 3 sessions:
Session 1: 9.00am – 10.30am
Session 2: 11.00am – 12.30pm
Session 3: 1.00pm – 2.30pm
Numbers will be limited at each time slot due to the size of the facility, safety issues, and security. You will be entering an airside area. Unauthorised entry and unauthorised possession of weapons are prohibited under the Aviation Transport & Security Act 2004 and Aviation Transport & Security Regulations 2005.
We will fill each session (starting with session 1) before we commence allocating tickets to the next.
If you are interested in attending, please email POLAIR@police.nsw.gov.au with the following details:
1: Total number of tickets (adults/children) requested.
2: Name and date of birth of each adult.
3: Name and age of each child (under the age of 18).
Once we have confirmed the availability of places, we will then email your tickets out to you. Address & session time will be detailed on the tickets. You must present your TICKET and PHOTO IDENTIFICATION at the entry.
As followers of our POLAIR FACEBOOK site, you are being given first opportunity to secure tickets. This is a great opportunity so email your details a.s.a.p if you would like to get a rare glimpse into workings of the NSW Police Force POLAIR.
Updated information on parking and locations will be provided in the lead up to the Open Day.

It sounds like one of those stings they have in America, 'you have won a colour TV', and when you arrive to collect your prize, 'by the way I would like to talk to about these warrants....'Bigfella237 wrote:Gee I wonder what they need your name & DOB for...matthewn1983 wrote: ~ If you are interested in attending, please email POLAIR@police.nsw.gov.au with the following details:
