Search for MH370

Post by matthewn1983 » Thu Mar 27, 2014 7:48 pm

The search for MH370 had been heard on one of the VCN's. Some quotes from various forums/lists for your reference.

'VCN 4' - 15962khz USB.

was hearing Rescue 795 and Rescue 125 Active from 0600 utc
with Hudson 46 Calling off frequency a number of times
i missed the W station, i closed down around 1030

At one point Canberra Control Said to wait 5 Mike they were
re-engineering the station. i assume they rotated the antenna to the SW
as the signal dropped from S9+30 to just readable, although the rescue
stations were by this time peaking around s9+
Going back checking recorded material, I found another contact at 1206 UTC where "Rescue 795" could be heard more clearly. Still weak signal but slightly better readability. Control asked them to confirm what I believe is a five-digit code, perhaps a position of interest.

Is Rescue 795 and 125 aircraft?
