2100MHz 3G Antenna

Post by criten » Mon Jul 25, 2011 12:43 pm

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a low cost supplier for 3G 2100MHz high gain antennas.

RFShop has a 23dBi for $140 but this seems a little over priced since previously Exetel were selling them to me for $20... sadly Exetel no longer have stocks and no ETA on when they will.

Pretty amazing that an hour and a half out of Sydney there are places with no ADSL and no mobile reception (which is why its needed).

If you chose a provider with an 850 MHz 3G service, I'm thinking that you woukld get better coverage, and not need such a high gain antenna! Normal antennas for 850 MHz are cheap as ...

There is no Telstra coverage at this location and their tower is at the same location as Optus. Neither does the big T offer support for users requiring an antenna. Also data costs way too much with the big T.

Try WES Components at Ashfield?
They have a 15db 2.1ghz 3G directional yagi for $179.00
Few vertical types also available.
