Just on these, if anybody wants one then now is the time to get one from the US, with the super high Aussie dollar.
A mate got a new BCD396XT (yes, the XT) on eBay the other day from the US for $475 - and that included postage.
The cheapest anybody in Aus is selling them for is $575, and these are just grey imports anyway.

Yeah, the joke not so long ago was that Uniden Aust was still trying to sell the "T" models new for $950 when you could import an "XT" for $600! (And the Aussie dollar has gone through the roof since then)
If you ask me that's why Uniden abandoned the Australian scanner market?
