Heard St George Hospital security at Kogarah making the trip into Blacktown this afternoon on 470.2250 Mhz with DCS 114 tone.
Callsigns: Control Room, Security

The chap who was "Security" was asked to get the current temperature reading for the mortuary

interesting, do the 'government contractors' (people pickup and deliver deceased persons) use radios? or all done on mobile phones?

I can confirm government contractors that collect deceased persons from hospital mortuary's do all of their organising via Mobile Phone... There are that many different contractors that work collecting deceased persons its far cheaper to just use mobile phones...

Security generally will allow contractors into the mortuary after hours if the correct paperwork has been lodged with the hospital, and believe me when i say its not a pleasent job especially if you have not had dinner...

You should go and do an organised visit at the crematorium when the furnaces are in full swing at 790 deg .... computer controlled airflow
I did back in 1984 at Rookwood via an official visit organised by the local Anglican minister

Many many years ago they use to be on radio around 491mhz & would pickup dead bodies from car accidents or crime scenes.
