996 & Remote Head in the car

A bought the remote head from prestige comms last week and finally installed it all.
I'm pretty happy with it, the next radio to go in will be a Uniden UHO15SX, also with the remote head.



A VHF/UHF whip, i also have a Scantenna, but prefer the shorter more discreet whip

where is the main unit/ under the car seat?

It was originally under the left seat, with the external speaker.
Though i had nothing to secure it too, and didn't like the thought of it being kicked accidently.
So now its mounted in the boot and just the speaker is left tucked under the front seat.

BIt of an update, finished my installs for now.
Moved the aerials to the front of the car, much better reception and much more stable.


The remote head as well as the mic for my UHF.

very nice install nice and clean I notice you have a 2nd DIN slot under your car radio you didn't want the 996 there?

Amazing installation! I struggled a LOT with finding place for the UH015SX in my car, but your's looking great! Good work!

My UHF CB is mounted under the seat, all hidden away.
After having a few goes at the install it took a while to get it right.
As for the second din slot, i tried it there but didn't like it as it didn't look right, and it sticks out about 20mm from the dash.
