NEW YEARS EVE COMMS

Post by cartman » Sun Dec 18, 2011 5:51 pm

Just noticed that the PA people have put up ten temporary comms frequencies for a month commencing 16/12/11 at 126 Phillip Street corner Hunter, obviously for the New Years Eve party at Sydney Cove. Worth watching to see what appears

Foti's Fireworks should be on 800mhz Moto trunking off GPT.
Haven't listened to this system lately as it's normally pretty quiet but they should be on there already doing the display setups.

Analogue Trunking is gradually disappearing from Sydney - so this NYE maybe the last opportunity to hear GPT 800Mhz, AAP 800Mhz and the Vertel 500LTR systems in use during a major event. Check the NSWGRN P25 for Firies, Ambos, Rail, Ferries, Govt Rental etc

East Ambos switched to TGs Incident 5 and 6 for their NYE comms. But as of today they are still running on INCDT 5 / TG 10336. Anyone know if this is a patch or are all the ambos switched to this channel??

Well GPT 800mhz Moto system was active for NYE with the following TGs mainly used by Foti & a Events company.
4832,5024,4864,5248,4928,4960,5088,21744,21712
Suncorp tower (formerly AAPT) was also active with a Events company hosting parties in different places.
49328,49264,49712,49968,49776,49296
AMP Twr 490mhz LTR system had a security firm working around the Opera house,Circular Quay area on LCN 0-01-043
GRN had following agencies active:
10704-RTA Ops 3
10960-Maritime
10211-SES TAC 4
TMC doing clearways on PMR 467.825 (st-114.8)
ABC TV had two open mic channels on the following:
506.100-(st-77.0)
506.8625-(st-94.8)
These were quite strong signals across the Sydney metro area.
All the above was captured up till 2pm on New years eve as I was not home to listen in on what was active after this time.
