On Thursday 10215 split in two

10215 = Channel 324 = Blackheath area
10216 = Channel 325 = Rest of damaged area

Any update as to what coverage area is with the 3rd channel

As for the interurban that is a structural write-off ... because it is a driving control carriage, effectively four carriages are out of service unless there is a spare carriage with driving controls to source at Flemington Maintenance Centre or from Maintrain at Auburn

Thanks Grant,
Saw on the news last night that they were chopping up the car on the side of the road. Too big to take anywhere except SIMS metal in tiny bits. There goes a chance at some listening to them trying to transport the car.

No wonder they didn't cut the metal damage off the carrige,cover it with a tarp,connect a diesel up to it & tow it back down to the workshops.As long as the bogies are still operational.

Was talking to a friend on the weekend who is a train driver, he was driving a train a couple of sections behind the one that was cut in half & he said there was an enourmous flash in the sky like a huge lightning storm when the tree hit the train, he said it was the scariest night he had ever expirenced in all his years of driving trains, he had branches hitting the train left right & centre!
