Far south coast heavy rain and flooding

Post by Farsouthscanner » Fri Feb 05, 2010 9:38 am

Hi all
There has been some much needed rain in the Bega and far south areas.
There is a lot of water on Sapphire Coast Drive between Merimbula and Tathra and I think a bridge is out between Tathra and Bega. A house is being threatend by flooding at Kalaru and Tathra people are being advised to stay home.

It was wide spread, shame about the damage but the rain was great.
There isn't much on the radar this morning although there is a fair bit north of Sydney that is folllowing the coast down, if it comes west a bit we could get another storm or two this afternoon or tonight.
There Eurobodalla SES units ha d a few jobs last night but not sure of the details.
