Fairly large fire south of Eden near Narrabarba.
SF on scene and RFS on the way. 3m flame height heading south. A chopper is coming from Bombala as well as a dozer

The SF are saying that they should be able to get around the fire by later this afternoon or tonight.
The Firebird chopper is going back to Bombala when the Helitack is on scene. Helitack 226 has just left Merimbula after refueling.

Also according to the CFA site there is a large going grass fire at Cann River just over the border.

Hi all
There is another fairly large fire in the far south area.
Its south east of Bombala and 200ha in size.
So far I have heard a bomber from Cooma 752? and Firebird 226 and a Helitack.
It is quite smokey here at Merimbula with a brown haze to the west. I think it must be smoke from this fire and/or smoke from Victoria.

Hi Departs
Its been a pretty busy few months for fire crews in the far south area. Nothing major at this stage with this current one being the biggest. Lightning has started nearly all the fire down this way.
The hum is caused by a ground loop. I have some isolators ordered from Jaycar which will fix the problem, hopfully they will arrive on Monday, keep an eye on my website for updates about this and any future problems.

Hi departs and all
I am hearing ParkAir 1 doing surveillance and reporting to Bega Firecomm.
Bega Firecomm is talking to Bombala Helibase as well.
