Hearing a scarey conversation.
They are at the house, the fire is comming up at them, they are telling the owner to leave now and the fire is crownig around them, they probably are not going to stop.
They are getting a chopper there.
Only a dozer trail between them and the fire.
They are paging more brigades for property protection at Tilba.
Scarey stuff

The property owner is leaving now,
Helitak 225 will be on air soon.
Several brigaides are on the way.
Bega has a RH of 9.
The shit is going to hit the fan I think.

Helitak 226 has just left Merimbula airport, there is currently no property under threat (apart from the one previously mentioned) and it is fairly controllable once it reaches the paddocks.
Still pretty nasty though and the wind is picking up in Bega.

There is now a fire at Geurilla Bay south of Batemans Bay near Moruya. Properties under threat and more resources required. They are going to try and get NSWFB to assist.
Looking at Google Earth there is only 1 way in and out of there so its a dangerous one.

Thought I would just use this thread.
Last night ligtning started some fires in the far south coast area.
A couple near Brogo in Wanbilliga (?) and a couple near Wolumla. There might be others but I am not sure. They are small at this stage but at least one is really hard to get to.
They are getting a water bombing chopper from the ACT down to help.

The wind is starting to affect the fires. Bega and Moruya have strong NW winds and Bega has a fire danger of 70

The southerly change has gone through the fireground at Bega at least.
They have a helipad at Brogo, possibly near the dam.
Lake George RFS has crews at the fires west of Moruya helping out the choppers.

There is now a fire near Towamba south west of Eden.
Its only small at this stage and is burning in some hardwood in a Pine Plantation.
RFS and State Forests are on scene.
Some fires over the border too, one is listed at 100ha and the other 1 is a lot smaller.
