I'm shocked that the ANZ Stadium 800mhz system is still up and running as when i used to be a user on that system working at the stadium reception was shocking.... to the degree where it was safer not to have a radio and just rely on the police that were around the area for backup if i had to eject someone.

A fair bit of activity on ANZ this morning.

I updated control channels on all sites this morning. I could probably assume that any voice channel that is still active that previously rotated as a control channel will still do so, but will confirm by listening and through UniTrunker over the next couple of days.

Also, can anybody confirm if the Fox Studios site is indeed stil active? I can't get anything on any of those frequencies from where I am, but I am a fair distance away.

Just remember that switchoff date for 800Mhz Commercial Motorola Analogue in Sydney is June 2012
Does this include QANTAS system or is this classed as private?

I work in Surrey Hills which is not far from Moore Park (FOX studios) & have listened to the system before. Will take the scanner to work & see if still active.

John.

Can anybody confirm if the TX frequency limits for the trunking bands in Australia below are correct? And are their any other bands, especially around the 400MHZ area? These were taken from an AMCA paper (link here) from 2000.

800MHz - 865.0125 to 869.9875
400MHz - 415.5750 to 418.0625 (what about the 412 to 415 range?)
160MHz - 165.2000 to 168.1875

As far as I know, they are still the only "formalised" Trunking Bands, however, there are certainly Trunked radio systems outside of those areas.

For example, Vertel in Queensland operate an MPT1327 system which "brackets" the 415.5750 to 418.0625 Band, starting at 414.4625 then up to 415.5625, then from 418.3375 up to 419.9875.

And of course, there is the NSWGRN, and the MMR.

And Gencom used to run a system in the 500 MHz area.

Don't forget the QANTAS 460mhz system in Brisvegas.

Don't stress Matt about the 869mhz stuff you don't miss much.

Cheers
