New Zealand Next Generation Critical Communications (NGCC)

Post by cartman » Mon Sep 09, 2019 11:53 am

Noticed this while searching for something else.

https://www.police.govt.nz/about-us/pub ... tions-ngcc

"New Zealand Police, Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Wellington Free Ambulance, and St John are co-ordinating development of an investment case to replace Emergency Services’ critical communications. This programme of work is known as Next Generation Critical Communications (NGCC)"

So New Zealand appears to be going down the 4G/5G/LTE route and slowly turning their back on P25 from about 2023
