RTA and NSW Maritime = Roads and Maritime Services
http://smh.drive.com.au/rta-to-be-kille ... 1hh3r.html
What changes would we see on the GRN if any?
Would throw the whole radioid->agency configuration out?
Major changes as outlined in the letter
-> The RTA and NSW Maritime cease to exist in their current form. A new agency, Roads and Maritime Services, will be created in their place.
-> The Transport Construction Authority (TCA) – its functions will move into the Transport Projects Division.
-> The Country Rail Infrastructure Authority – its functions move into Transport Services Division.
-> All functions of the Centre for Road Safety (CRS) from the RTA – move into Transport for NSW except the operational aspects from CRS, such as Crashlab, which will remain with Roads and Maritime Services.
-> The Public Transport Ticketing Corporation, which is responsible for managing the integrated ticketing project – reports into the Transport Services Division, as it moves into the delivery phase of the project.
-> The Transport Management Centre (TMC) – remains a separate operating function, under a service agreement administered by Transport Services Division.

I would say none. There is no money for anything that is not operationally imperative.

Re: RTA and NSW Maritime = Roads and Maritime Services
Can anyone confirm that the talkgroup ids listed on the nswgrn website are correct with the current rta radios? Ive heard the kilo trucks on other channels saying they are going back over to D1 NATO 1 (10702), but ive heard 10708 being used for Clearway/Event towing, and 10710 being used for Kogarah Maintenance Crews, 10714 being used up around Blue Mountains and Lithgow by their maint crews as well?

So what happened to all those D1 to D15 & G1 to G12 channel names that someone reported hearing?
And that website still doesn't have a tag for 10701... any ideas?
