It seems REALLY strange to have a zone 1 site number so far north...
There is a dedicated CoW in the Grafton area

It doesn't stay in Grafton, it was there as part of a bigger announcement

Pretty sure I heard that SES unit with the CoW (OSU59) on the State Ops 1 channel last week calling off in locations around Sydney.

From here and elsewhere these are the north coast expansion site numbers so far we know about

002-084 Glen Innes
003-083 Transit Hill Port Macquarie
003-091 Mt Yarrahappini
003-095 Urunga
003-100 Boambee
003-101 Mt Moombil
003-110 Halfway Creek
003-116 Woombah
003-123 Buckinbil
003-133 Tabulam
003-136 Mullumbimby (Mudges Quarry)
003-138 Mt Nardi

Just wondering if there is a logical layout on the map we know so far to the numbering .... they seem to increase as we go north
On this reasoning I would expect the sites in the Port Macquarie area to be in the 003-08x and decreasing as we go south

So far all the identified sites fall into the above scheme, the lower (technically higher as it's a negative value) the northing, the higher the site number.

I tried reorganising the list of those "Unknown Site #" & "Microwave Relay Sites" in order of latitude, but it doesn't quite gel with the list of available numbers, I assume that either there are gaps in the sequence and/or some of the relay sites will never get wide area frequencies?

One more North Coast site appears to have been upgraded today with the addition of wide area frequencies:

*Unknown Site # - BOGANGAR (Telstra Site Round Mountain Rd) - ACMA Site: 9007613
418.5500*
418.8000*
419.0500*
419.3000*
419.5500*
419.8000*
Site Elevation (ASL): 12m Antenna: Dipole-D, SMD4 Antenna Height (AGL): 10m TX Power: 50w ED: 10K1F9W

Frequencies marked with an asterisk (*) are licenced to the HSGA Client ID
Frequencies in RED are also on the CC List programmed into GRN radios

I have been listening today on the SES State Operations channel TG 10234 ... pretty impressed with the quality of voice signal coming in from different parts of the state where the GRN sites are switched on eg: Cooma, Dubbo, Coffs Harbour, Narooma. PMR patches are OK but GRN is much clearer

I have just arrived in Port Macquarie this afternoon.
Site 383 is also an active control channel on 419.7125 off Transit Hill here at Port Macquarie - just checked site id on my uniden 396
Will run Unitrunker and DSD later

Ps Alison wouldn't be able to hear it from Coffs because Boambee is also active on the same frequency
