What happened to the whole "centralised TELCO agency" thing?

NSW Telco is a NSW only State Government department. They can only finance NSW based assets. Since these are in the ACT, the funding must come from another, different mysterious bag of funny money that the ACT Government is responsible for.

Being in the ACT, these sites probably aren’t funded by NSW Telco, but by a similar ACT authority. That may explain the different ACMA site numbers.

I was talking about the ACT TELCO, or whoever it is that all the other TRN sites are licenced to.

With thanks again to Longreach, I'm fairly sure that I've got all the above updates in the list, as well as cross-referencing all the peers.

It's interesting that those two new ACT sites 003-051 & 003-052 were authorised September 2018 & May 2018 respectively so it would seem they've been around for a while already, not being licenced to the same ACMA Client ID makes them extremely hard for me to find in my daily ACMA search so we may need to recruit some more Canberians?

I'm kinda surprised the new trams didn't go onto the GRN with the buses as well? I thought we were trying to eliminate duplicated networks, not create more?

Two new GRN sites appeared on the ACMA today, both at Castle Hill railway stations on the North West Rail Link:

Unknown Site # (BDA) - CASTLE HILL (NWRL Underground Repeater Castle Hill Railway Station) - ACMA Site: 9026265

Unknown Site # (BDA) - CASTLE HILL (NWRL Underground Repeater Showground Railway Station) - ACMA Site: 9026268

Both added to the NSWGRN map and the unidentified sites list.

Also, the Castle Hill site at Kennards has been off the air for a few months now. Not sure where it went or why, but it's definitely gone quiet.

Thanks all yet again, I've marked site 001-075 Castle Hill with a note about it being off the air, but it's still licenced so I don't think it should be marked as decommissioned (for the time being anyway).

And I've gone through all those Dubbo area sites and I'm pretty sure they're all up to date again too! For some reason site 002-023 at Mount Bodangora was marked on the goggle map (and in my spreadsheet) as an unidentified site (?) but I've now updated it on the map as well.

ACT Update
Site 3.2, NAC is 2D0 (yes, wierd) - Peers, remove 3.21 add 3.51 and 3.52
Site 3.3, Peers, remove Sites 3.14, 3.15, 3.21, 3.36 and add 3.51 and 3.52
Site 3.6, Peers remove Site 3.21 and add 3.51
Site 3.7, Peers add 3.51 and 3.52

Thanks again Matt, all the sites mentioned have been updated, including all the peer sites.

Any site that I've updated lately has also been checked against the ACMA frequency listings and had a heap of other things updated at the same time (I've been changing the names to reflect what the ACMA calls the site and converting the lat/long URLs to redirect to our NSWGRN map instead of a general goggle map, plus removing all the LCNs from the voice channels in preparation for Phase 2), I will eventually have to sit down and go through the entire list but it's just too big a task at the moment, I'll just keep chipping away with the updated sites for now so you will find the odd inconsistency in the meanwhile, but we'll get there in the end.

A new ACMA site popped up this evening licenced to the GRN Client ID, but I'm not sure what to do with it? It is:

BUCKOMBIL (Northern Rivers Comms Site Buckombil Mountain Road) - ACMA Site: 10004361

But it's only one single frequency licence (416.1000 MHz) and it's virtually right on top of an already existing proposed site licenced to the HSGA Client ID (see map here):



I'm guessing it's supposed to be part of the same site as...

*Unknown Site # - BUCKOMBIL MOUNTAIN (Meerschaum Station Lismore) - ACMA Site: 198325

...and maybe someone screwed up the ACMA site number? Or maybe the other freqs will move to this new site? Who knows?

For the time being, I think I will just make an "Also see site..." note on the map, I don't think it should really be created as a whole new site? Any thoughts?

EDIT: Looking further it seems this freq was authorised 27/Nov/2018 and has possibly moved from the first site (it's still duplicated there under the same client number), I'll recheck tomorrow but I'd guess the other freqs may follow suit?
