Thanks Cartman,

Same thing here, the site shows up on DSD+ but not Unitrunker, although I believe the peers list on UT has been clamped at 8 or 9 to stop 'runaway' peer sites.

I can confirm 002-147 is a QLD GWN COW. The LCN 0-339 is correct but the frequency used is actually 424.2375.

Can you confirm the frequency used for GRN LCN 4-642 please?

G'day Wonky, that bandplan 00 LCN is weird, 00-0339 should be 853.1250, that must be another one of those explicit frequency examples?

LCN 04-0642 is 416.4875 It is in the CC list but not in the statewide frequency (CoW) list.

Hit the nail on the head there, cartman. It is an ISSI IP link between the QLD GWN and NSWGRN cores.

Pro96com, DSD+ and all the other hobbiest grade software doesn't really know how to handle ISSI properly. Pro96com falls over, and DSD+ doesn't quite know how the voice grants work on an ISSI call. In fact pro96com doesn't detect the ISSI site on the Castle Hill site at all...

Thanks Cartman,

Citabria how / when does an ISSI call take place :?:

Edit: Scratch that request, found some Moto info on it:

That spec sheet is very old - it refers to the older ASTRO25 Core that ran on Sun hardware (Remember them? They were acquired by Oracle...)

I think there has been a few changes to ISSI since then, but the concepts should be the same.

It's not explicit (that's a type of CC channel grant, a different thing to how peers/neighbours are advertised) - you're trying to apply the NSWGRN bandplan to a QLDGWN site. It makes more sense if you apply the correct QLDGWN bandplan (which of course is different to the NSWGRN - QLD had the good sense to remove the irrelevant USA 7/800MHz bandplans that aren't used here):-

Code: Select all

QLDGWN Bandplan

420.0000 - 00-0000 - 00-4095 - 1 - Bandplan #0 Base=420.0000 Offset=+5.2 Spacing=12.5 BW=12.5
412.4625 - 01-0000 - 01-4095 - 1 - Bandplan #1 Base=412.4625 Offset=-9.45 Spacing=12.5 BW=12.5
420.0000 - 02-0000 - 02-4095 - 2 - Bandplan #2 Base=420.0000 Offset=+5.2 Spacing=12.5 BW=12.5 Slots=2
412.4625 - 03-0000 - 03-4095 - 2  - Bandplan #3 Base=412.4625 Offset=-9.45 Spacing=12.5 BW=12.5 Slots=2
420 + (339*0.0125kHz) = 424.2375MHz

I think I found an erroneous entry on the hidden 001-050 hidden host sites frequencies back on page 1 of this thread
421.875 is shown as part of the trunking site
However I believe this is actually used by FRNSW at major shopping centres for communication between the driver manning the radio inside the pumper and the deployed fire crew inside the centre.
It becomes murky because ACMA has shown the licence against the Telco GRN
The licence for Liverpool Westfield shows it correctly

Well, that makes a lot sense now.
Just looked up the listing on RR that somebody has posted there (it looks legit)
It can also be for P25:

421.87500 - NAC 110 - D511 DIGITAL-RPT 1

A511 = Analog 192.8 CTCSS
D511 = Digital P25 NAC 110

So I’ve done a scan around the band’s yesterday and discovered a new time i haven’t heard before. A quick call to a mate let me know it’s a BER Testing tone used on Motorola equipment. So with that i stuck my trusty tapped 355XLT coupled to DSD+ and for 5 seconds at 10:48 am today it gave itself up.
Looks like we’re have a new site nearby and with that it also gave up a new CoW running at moruya (Site397) (It’s the same control channel as at mount Wandera and i know the GRN site was damaged in the fires).
Welcome Zone 1 site 103.
