I was at North Brother Mountain last Monday morning and ran the Uniden 396 to note active control channels and their ids.

412.6625 P25 CC - SITE 002-098 COW in local area (strong signal)
416.1750 P25 CC - SITE 002-050 Tx BULAHDELAH
418.7125 Continuous data on Transit Hill Port Macquarie P25 site frequency
419.4375 P25 CC - SITE 002 (no site number displayed) TX MOUNT GANGHAT
419.5125 P25 CC - SITE 002 (no site number displayed) Tx COOLONGOLOOK
419.5750 P25 CC - SITE 003 (no site number displayed) Tx MT MOOMBIL??
419.6750 P25 CC - SITE 002 (no site number displayed) TX NERONG
419.7125 P25 CC - SITE 003-083 TX Transit Hill Port Macquarie
419.7375 P25 CC - SITE 003-091 TX Mt Yarraphinni

Still trying to get my head around why some of the sites were active but not displaying a site number like 003-083
(is it the way the Uniden 396 reads the hex data or because the site is in Site Trunking Mode??)

The other query i had was that for the entire 3 days I was in the Port Macquarie region one of the Transit Hill P25 frequencies 418.7125 was just a continuous data noise .... CC was 419.7125 and back up CC 419.2125. Just wondering what the data stream was. Before I retired from my job, I used to see the XTL5000 on the work desk continually "talking" with the system ... red light flashing and a message about IP data come up. Is this how the radios can be controlled remotely eg OTAP, OTAR etc. Do the radios continually "handshake"?

No sign of it on Unitrunker

Is it known by any other name? I couldn't find any reference to it on this site...
