Thanks again to Matt the following has been updated on the list:

Site 122 - Little Bay was upgraded to 100% P25, had the control and alternate control channels changed and 9 voice channels added

Another list update bites the dust! (Damn, the sun is up already  )

I've moved all the ACMA page links down to the Lat/Long line and now if you click on the "Site ###" it will take you to the coverage map for each site.

Some sites have no coverage map available (possibly because the website hasn't been updated in like forever), it's mainly Zone 3 sites that missed out and of course the underground and in-building sites don't have maps.

Andrew

P.S. Still looking for a volunteer to ride around on a train, I mostly just need to know which site number comes up at each and every station?

This list is unbelievable Andrew! Well done!

Just come back from the other side of the mountains, so can confirm (in case you didn't already know) the info that you have for sites 129 (Mt Lambie), 130 (Oberon), 252 (Mt Panorama) and 253 (Mt Canobolas) are correct with regards to control channels/alternate cc's.

I cant hear any signal on site 132 Kurrajong Heights 416.8125 on the old system, but the p25 CC on 416.1875 is booming in. Are they getting ready to do the switch to full 100% p25?

Wayne

Edit, seems I jumped the gun a little, Kurrajong on the old system is using its Alt CC 415.6875, the main CC is quiet.

G'day Wayne,

Kurrajong is one of those sites which will be upgraded last because it's a disaster recovery site for FRNSW, last I heard they still haven't gotten all their radio profiles updated so some still need the old 4.1 control channels in case of GRN failure?

I believe that any site still transmitting an old 4.1 control channel is only site trunking, that is to say there's no wide area trunking at all left on the old system since they moved over to the DRNOCC?

Andrew,

While working out west last week, I can confirm that 4.1 sites are in site trunking, or at least the ones I came across. Also from 'information received' unless a department has an exceptional requirement to access the analogue network, it is locked out of it and can only access the digital system.

Thanks Andrew for the info,
Just thought that if the 4.1 site CC disappears and leaves the frequency, I might just be able to hear one of the other sites abit further away that use the same frequency, but it seems that once a site switches off the 4.1 system, that site in P25 mode takes over the old 4.1 CC frequency. Is that fair to say?

What you propose should still be possible if your scanner allows you to enter a NAC against the frequency (assuming the system has been set up correctly with different NACs between the two sites in question)?
