Hi all

Just for everyone's info. listening to Forests on VHF they seem to have joined the Eden and Bombala channels. I can now hear both on 79.0750MHz, before I could only hear Eden.
Re: P25 Talk Groups part 2
Does anyone know who uses the following talkgroups which are encrypted?
Have been very active in the last 2 weeks.Had to keep locking them out of every GRN repeater I was receiving.
12011
12031
12032
12036
They are just above ABC News & below the short term rental channels.
Thanks, John.

Pretty sure they are based out of Kogarah Depot, usually 2-3 trucks fixing potholes in Sydneys south.
New RFS radio tags
The fire season seems to have passed, however I see the nswgrn site has the new RFS radio tags if people are still looking for them. They seem to have been there for a while, but I can't find any mention of them anywhere on this forum:sw sydney scanner wrote:So is the list on page 1 correct just the new tags not updated..Longreach wrote:Hi all, The Shoalhaven use GRN exclusively now, there old TG tag was GD83 Shoalhaven (30013) The new tag would be something like sG025 SHOALHAVEN. Their analog PMR channels have been quiet for a while now.

Seems even more confusing to me than the old channels.
Re: P25 Talk Groups part 2
Hi all,
Actually its made life a lot easier. The regions are all divided into zones now eg North South East West. if your using a service radio you can direct dial a channel. eg Southern Tablelands is sG028 Sthn TD. Just have to dial 28 on the keypad to get there when i south region zone. Might be harder to understand on a scanner but at the end of the day its easier to find in a service radio and thats all that really matters in this case.
cheers
