Now that's a weird one, we had 230xxxx IDs listed as ASNSW radios but their talkgroups are in the 103xx, 203xx & 303xx range?
The 211xx block of talkgroups would have been Railcorp's 'north & west' block if they were using them? I notice that we haven't yet seen any rail talkgroups listed for CountryLink or Australian Rail Track Corporation outside the major centres either?
I wonder if we either have the 230xxxx RID group mislabeled or the ambos are sharing that block with someone else?

Andrew,
Neither Countrylink or ARTC are using talkgroups outside those already known. In fact Countrylink have no TG's at all. All RailCorps TG's commence 11###. I can state with absolute certain that it is not RailCorp.

I think I've solved the mystery...

I've been going over some data that Garry sent me and one of those 230xxxx RIDs also joined TG 11376 "ART CH x01" (according to the nswgrn website) which seems to be an Australian Rail Track Corporation/Railcorp cross channel?

It also makes sense that the talkgroups mentioned would fall into a block which would have been Railcorp's 'north & west' block and, it's the only agency which also fits into the 'Transport' group of RIDs and would be likely to be affiliating at Goulburn?

So, I've updated the RID list accordingly, if I'm wrong I'll change it once someone is able to positively identify the user?

Noticed a 242XXXX radio id affiliating tonight to the NSW Maritime talkgroup 10960
Went back and had a look at the IPART document
Pretty well convinced that 242XXXX = Sydney Ports Corporation
At the moment they have been using the 800Mhz AAP Analogue trunking site for port security but I would expect them to transfer over to the NSWGRN in the near future, as Motorola shuts down their 800Mhz non-TETRA sites.

Thanks Grant,

I've changed RID 242xxxx to Sydney Ports Corporation on the list

I've also added RID 220xxxx as an unknown user (thanks to Longreach), we don't have a TG listed but they're in the Utilities group with Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy & Hunter Water (and another unknown user (RID 226xxxx))

Pretty sure i have found the 226XXXX rid user:

In a submission to Ipart:

"Sydney Water is a minor user of the Government Radio Network (GRN).
Our maintenance teams use the GRN as an emergency backup to the Telstra G3 network.
We currently have 128 radios and pay about $9,000 a month to retain the GRN service.
The monthly charges comprise a $65 connection fee per unit and about $50 in usage charges for all units"

The numbers i have collected so far with 226XXXX radio ids suggests the 128 number is a good fit
Talkgroups logged so far 10801, 10802, 10809, 10811, 10821

Yeah not sure if LHI Board will be getting the GRN or if they were just included on the list of agencies who currently operate their own network?

RFDS Air Ambulances go out there a bit but apart from that I wouldn't think they'd have too much use for the GRN?

Any references?
P25 links for visiting emergency services?
ACMA has nothing that I can see
HF to 30Mhz and a few VHF (mainly aviation related) and UHF services (police, island board) is what currently exists

Having visited Lord Howe Island it is not exactly bustling with people (330 residents + maximum 400 visitors at any one time)
Basically everybody knows everybody
The residents have a tendency to appear in a variety of roles over the course of a visit, as I discovered when a Tsunami warning was issued the day after I arrived (March 2010)
I even tried out the local hospital courtesy of a marine stinger at Neds Beach

I believe Matt was referring to LHI being included in the list on page 1 of this thread? That list came directly from one of those iPart documents a while back, I have no idea if it is still (or was ever) accurate?
