Control and Backup Control Observation

Howdy all

I observe in unitrunker site 14 Lambton, has 2 Backup control channels, and thought they were used as voice channels when not operating as control channels. But they dont seem to be carrying any voice traffic at all, except for some testing the techs did last week, anyone observe similar operation on other sites

Back up control channels only carry voice if all other voice channels are simultaneously in use.

In this way they are least likely to be caught out carrying voice if immediately needed as control channel.

Its unusual to have 2 back up control channels but is done often when testsing. I understand that its the season for 6 monthly checks.
