The first number is the zone number then the site no#
ie. 111 = zone 1 site 11

A P25 system doesn't have "zones" it has "systems" within a "WACN" (Wide Area Communications Network), so far all our GRN sites are in one system (#02D1), but yes, in terms of "Type II" thinking the old site 'zone 1 site 11' would translate to site 111.

Thanks Garry, I've added it to the list, any idea yet if Mt Sugarloaf is still site trunking or connected in wide area?

Garry, do you have any software (such as Unitrunker or Pro96Com) to decode the Ctrl Ch? If not then the next easiest way is if you can grab a SES radio and try one of the new digital talkgroups (it will say "SITE TRUNKING" on the display).

If the switch was only thrown late yesterday arvo for the first time then I would be very surprised if it went straight into wide area?

Andrew

Edit: I forgot to say, if you do have software, a site in "wide area trunking" will list peers (or nearby sites which the user radio will check for first when it goes out of range) but if it's "site trunking" it won't have any peers.

Also, if peer sites are listed then they must also be connected in wide area.
