New Broken Bay site?

Post by cartman » Tue Aug 26, 2008 4:54 pm

Heard the tailend of some testing of a new site today which I could have sworn was the Umina-Palm Beach link site ... it was called Broken Bay.
There was some talk about it about six mths or so ago on the other forum.
Sounds like a hidden host setup.
It was going to be a 6 or 7km link (according to the electronic UBD at work) from Umina GRN site back to Palm Beach in order to fix some coverage issues
For the time being accord to what I heard it was to be commissioned as a analogue only site.

So will that mean the traffic from the palm beach site will also Tx on umina?
As umina is pretty much dead all the time unless a user is close as
somersby covers a lot of the same area apart from behind the hill.
