ESO10 locking up on GPT

TG 10019 has been locking up on GPT on the same VF 419.2625Mhz the last few days. Sounds like a faulty channel.

What do they use eso10 for these days with x-ray i assume long gone ?

A few weeks ago I heard Westpac Rescue chopper using ESO10 to talk to VKG (Polair) on way to a missing kayaker at Manly.

Yeah not used as much as it use to be, Eso10 isn't linked to a vkg channel like it use to be. Was linked to channel Q from vkg tamworth a few years back. But now it is patched directly to the RCO (rescue coordinator) at vkg Sydney. Still get the odd message asking for police on the ground to switch to z1 chn 65 to help with a landing site etc. But just about everything is done over CAD these days..
