Big news! Are the Phase 2 channels active with traffic as of now? If so, it looks like the end is neigh for Phase 1 trunking scanners in NSW.

Not as yet. Given some of the bases in use are GTR8000s I'd say that they could flip the switch at any stage and just use dynamic transcoding and Phase 1 fallback to provide backwards compatibility.

Many agencies have upgraded to the APX series radios now as well, so time will tell.

Don't chuck your Phase 1 scanner just yet. It will be useful for a long time yet.

Any chance you can get the rest of that list? It might be handy when searching for new sites etc..

So three blocks of LCNs:

08-0020 to 08-0039 inclusive;

08-0080 to 08-0099 inclusive; and

08-0140 to 08-0152 inclusive; EXCEPT for 08-0150 (469.3875) which seems to have been left out for some reason.

Can you double-check whether that's correct Wonky?

Also, do you have a complete list including all the lower freqs?

Andrew

Thanks Wonky, I've now flagged all those frequencies in my Bandplan spreadsheet.

Previously I'd flagged the 49 frequencies licenced exclusively for transportable use (CoWs) and it's interesting that only these 5 freqs fall within both lists:

415.4125
422.3625
422.4875
423.6125
423.7375

You would assume then that these 5 freqs must be control channels for the CoWs since the radio would search these looking for a nearby site... but they're not? :?
