Unitrunker 1.0.0.5 and the GRN

Post by Wonky » Thu Nov 20, 2008 3:51 pm

Can any UT aficionados who are using v1.0.0.5 tell me if the delegate function for the multi zone setup works with this version and the GRN. Sorry, I am not in a position to test it myself.

Rick has fixed the bug where UT was not saving the Aust. 800MHz band plan, but I recall him saying that the delegate function was to be fixed for this release.

Thanks Andrew,

I gathered from what Rick has said that it should operate automatically and not require any setup?

not sure, but i'd say he has put alot of effort into this new gui version so it might start using alot more information that is passed in the control channel rather than requring us to manually set it up

There is no "extra" information passed in the control channel that the legacy decoders cannot detect.

The automatic setup of the new Unitrunker works by having a paid subscription to www.radioreference.com that Unitrunker uses to download the system information by using the system ID to determine what site you are tracking

Cheers.

Thanks Matt,

So if I have built a GRN Z1 profile up with some talkgroups and sites etc., and I fly into Sydney and start monitoring a Z2 site, will it use the talkgroups in the Z1 system?

I am not a paid subsriber to RR, do I need to download the GRN from RR in order for this to work?

Regards,

Sean

ah ok thanks matt....

how would the grn guys then allow all radios access to act trn repeaters as i would have thought they'd have to set something up somewhere that says allow all or only selected radios onto these repeaters

That's dumb hooking Unitrunker to RR - given it is not up to date re the GRN
I took one look at the new GUI version and went back to the old Unitrunker
