RID: 12345

Post by Scotty » Sat Apr 20, 2013 7:03 pm

I've had RID '12345' in my UniTrunker list for some time (October 2012), but always thought it may have been an anomaly.

Well, a radio with that RID tried to connect via Horsely Park at 17:51, 17:53 and 17:54 today (20/04/2013) and was 'denied' on each occasion.

What do you reckon - incorrectly programmed radio, or pirate?

Pirate for sure ... i have several "pirates" tagged in my Unitrunker listing
"12345" first logged 18th Dec 2011 and last seen 24th March 2013 on my list
If and when authentication comes in, they will disappear

PS "12345" was a common pirate id on analogue as well

Just pulled both my S145 logs and neither of them have that RID logged at all today ? What software are you using ?

Of note, there was an inhibit command sent out on S145 this arvo at 21:22HRS

Unitrunker. On all 3 occasions the radio was not able to connect as simply displayed 'denied'.

Could it be a Unitrunker quirk ?

It could be, but I've had a couple of PM's (as well as cartman's reply in this thread) from others advising they've seen the RID trying to access sites.

I have a list of about 50 to 60 5 digit RID's doing the same thing. All captured with UT.

Is anyone using software apart from unitrunker and get the same issue ?

Russell, can you post what these ID's you have are ?

I'm interested because either PRO96Com is missing something or UT is showing false readings ?
