Around 8am today on my day off I noticed that the control channel GPT (Site 148 - which i log continuously) dropped out with nothing on the backup control channel.
Same on Site 7 at Chullora
Happened a couple times over a minute or so, then come good
Possibly a hiccup in the system
Grant
PS I dont believe the problem was at my end

Looks like Site 108 Glenbrook has been out of action since 4am this morning according to logs.

Re: GRN Glitch??
When we say out of action, or "go down" are we meaning off air completely, or in site trunking (site on air but can only work local calls)?
There are are number of failures or glitches that could occur, but in simple terms, if it were off air completely it would commonly be a site fault, but if in site trunking could mean a link or connectionn failure to the Zone Controller. A complete site failure is often power related, ie mains fail followed by battery exhaustion. These are the common issues, there are others of course.
However, such outages mentioned may well be planned events for maintenance / upgrade etc. Us mere mortals won't have seen the outage forecasts!
