The channels mentioned above aren't listed as alternate CC's for that site at all, and only one of them appears as a CC on a different site altogether.

It appears they are just regular voice channels that are only used for overflow or to prevent busy lockouts.

Thanks again, Matt!

I think everything is once again up to date on the list, I made all those changes to sites 003-020 and 003-035, plus all the other sites that were/are now listed as peers, plus I've verified all the freqs of all those sites against the ACMA and updated the listings accordingly.

Andrew,
I saw the changes to the Freestone, and thanks for the update. I suspect that the control channel will stay on band plan 4 despite the fact it is operating in BP 5. If Victoria is anything to go by with the Phase 2 RMR the CC stayed in the original band plan yet the new stuff was up in a newer plan. All previous stuff in the BP5 area seems to be the same too.
Cheers

Another new GRN site was added to the ACMA database this afternoon...

Unknown Site # (Simulcast DAS) - FRENCHS FOREST (Northern Beaches Hospital) - ACMA Site: 10014371

This site will almost certainly be simulcast as 001-072 with ST LEONARDS (Royal North Shore Hospital) and of course has the same set of frequencies licenced...

422.2750 (CC TBC)
422.5250
423.0250
423.5250 (AltCC TBC)
423.7750
424.2750 (AltCC TBC)
424.5250 (AltCC TBC)
424.7750

Added to the NSWGRN map and to the unidentified sites list here on the forum.

Four new GRN sites appeared on the ACMA today, all in various M4 East tunnel openings, all leakey feeder, and they look like they'll be simulcast in pairs (well that's how the assignments are linked on the ACMA anyway):

Unknown Site # (Simulcast BDA) - ASHFIELD (M4 East tunnel opening 186 Parramatta Road) - ACMA Site: 10014352
Unknown Site # (Simulcast BDA) - HABERFIELD (M4 East tunnel opening cnr Wattle and Ramsay Sts) - ACMA Site: 10014349
422.2500
422.5000
423.5000
424.0000

And:

Unknown Site # (Simulcast BDA) - HOMEBUSH (M4 East tunnel opening at Bill Boyce Reserve) - ACMA Site: 10014351
Unknown Site # (Simulcast BDA) - NORTH STRATHFIELD (M4 East tunnel opening Queens Lane) - ACMA Site: 10014350
422.2500
422.5000
423.5000
424.0000

Although being so close together and all having the same frequency set you'd almost have to say they'll be all under the same site number?

All four sites added to the NSWGRN map and to the Unidentified Sites list here on the forum.

It seems that a lot of these new sites have active police repeaters on them. How soon will NSW Police have a NSW Govt Telco Authority client ID?

Big news, I've just been advised of the site number for one of those HV Tunnel sites that we've been chasing forever...

RFSS 001 Site 024 - SURRY HILLS (Electricity City East Cable Tunnel beneath 201 Goulburn Street) - ACMA Site: 9017175

...has just been updated on the NSWGRN Map and on the Zone 1 list here on the forum!

Unfortunately no other details (NAC, CC, etc.) and the other one...

Unknown Site # - SYDNEY (Energy Australia HV Tunnel Shaft City Central Substation, Blackwattle Place) - ACMA Site: 9010565

...is still at large, but one is better than none! And as Blackwattle Place was licenced before the Surry Hills tunnel, I reckon it'd be a pretty good guess that it may be a lower site number, and the only vacancies are 001-018, 001-019, 001-020 & 001-023 (my money is on 23).

But I just noticed something else while double-checking those sites, something I've never noticed before. If you go into the frequency assignments screen on the ACMA listings for those two HV Tunnel sites, there is an extra note at the bottom that says:

"Nature of Service CV - Station open exclusively to correspondence of a private agency"

Image

Pretty self-explanatory and likely the reason those sites don't show as peers on any other site, but even more interesting, I then happened to look at the assignments for:

Unknown Site # - RYDE (Top Ryde City Retail Cnr Devlin St & Blaxland Dr) - ACMA Site: 9010154

And it's frequencies have a similar notation:

"Nature of Service CO - Station open to official correspondence exclusively"

Image

Which leads me to believe that there IS actually a site there, and that it's for the exclusive use of one user in particular, and that explains why it can't be monitored and has no peers?

Hmm... now I'm gonna have to go looking for these notations on other sites...

Andrew
